Skin boosters are injectable treatments of hyaluronic acid and other skin nourishing nutrients, designed to improve skin quality from within. By increasing hydration and supporting the skin's natural regenerative processes, they help restore smoother, firmer and more radiant skin without altering facial shape or adding significant volume. They also complement treatments such as anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers and collagen stimulators as part of a personalised facial rejuvenation plan.
At Revitalise Medical, we offer a carefully selected range of injectable skin quality treatments, including skin boosters such as Profhilo®, Skinvive™, Teoxane Redensity® 1 and Restylane® Vital, as well as regenerative injectable treatments such as Plinest® polynucleotides. During your consultation, your doctor will recommend the treatment most appropriate for your skin concerns and desired outcome.
Skin boosters work by delivering carefully selected ingredients directly into the skin, where they improve hydration and support the skin's natural repair processes. Depending on the product used, they may replenish hyaluronic acid within the skin, stimulate collagen production, or improve skin elasticity and quality.
Rather than adding volume like traditional dermal fillers, skin boosters focus on improving the health and appearance of the skin itself. They work gradually over the following weeks, helping to restore hydration, improve firmness, smooth fine lines and create a fresher, more radiant complexion. Your Revitalise doctor will advise which option best suits your needs.
Common treatment areas include the face, neck, décolletage and hands, where improvements in hydration, texture and skin quality are often most noticeable.
Depending on the product selected, skin boosters can also be used to rejuvenate other areas of the body, including the upper arms, abdomen, knees, and areas of crepey or sun-damaged skin.
Skin boosters can improve a wide range of concerns, including:
Selected treatments may also support scalp health and help improve hair thinning and reduced hair density.

Skin boosters are injected into the skin using a series of tiny injections performed with a very fine needle or, in some cases, a blunt-tipped cannula. The treatment takes approximately 30–45 minutes, including consultation and preparation.
Following cleansing of the skin, the chosen product is carefully placed into the appropriate layer of the skin using advanced injection techniques tailored to your facial anatomy. Most patients tolerate treatment very well, although topical local anaesthetic can be applied if required.
Most skin boosters provide the best results when performed as a course of treatments.
Depending on the product chosen, we generally recommend 2–3 treatment sessions, spaced 2–4 weeks apart, followed by maintenance treatments every 6–12 months. During your consultation, we will design a personalised treatment plan based on your skin condition, treatment goals and the product best suited to your needs.
When performed by an appropriately trained medical professional, skin booster treatments have an excellent safety profile.
As with any injectable treatment, there are potential risks, including bruising, swelling, tenderness, redness and temporary injection-site lumps. These effects are usually mild and resolve within a few days.
A detailed medical consultation is always carried out before treatment to ensure you are a suitable candidate and to discuss the benefits, limitations and potential risks.
Following treatment, we recommend:
Small bumps at the injection sites are common with some skin boosters and usually settle within 24–72 hours, depending on the product used.
Hydrate. Restore. Rejuvenate.
*Treatment schedule depends on the product selected.
