After a thorough consultation one of the treatment options may include wrinkle-relaxing injections with botulinum toxin, commonly referred to as Botox Injections®
At Revitalise Medical, our anti wrinkle injections, commonly known as Botox Injections®, are one of the most popular and effective non-surgical treatments to prevent and soften fine lines caused by repeated facial expressions.
Over time, the natural ageing process reduces collagen and elastin in the skin, making expression lines such as frown lines, forehead lines, and crow’s feet more permanent. By relaxing targeted facial muscles, these injections help smooth existing wrinkles and delay the formation of new ones, resulting in a refreshed, natural-looking appearance.
We also offer Botox Injections® treatments for concerns such as excessive sweating, teeth grinding, gummy smiles, and bunny lines.
Every treatment begins with a thorough consultation with one of our doctors, where your goals, medical history, and facial anatomy are carefully assessed to create a personalised treatment plan.
Anti wrinkle injections work by relaxing targeted facial muscles, reducing their movement. This controlled relaxation helps prevent the repetitive muscle contractions that cause skin creasing—minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Botulinum toxin is carefully administered to specific muscles, allowing surrounding areas to function normally. This ensures that your natural facial expressions are preserved while softening unwanted lines.
These treatments are not only corrective but also preventative. By limiting the skin’s ability to crease, the formation of new wrinkles is significantly reduced. Anti-wrinkle injections can also be combined with other aesthetic treatments to enhance and prolong your results.
Botox injections ® have been used in medical treatments for over 40 years. They were originally used in the treatment of squints, often in children. Since the late 1980′s Botox has successfully been used as an anti wrinkle treatment, revolutionising the cosmetic industry.
Side effects of line and wrinkle treatments are rare. It is one of the safest cosmetic procedures available. Some clients may feel a tightness or heaviness after treatment. There is a risk of bruising. Asymmetry is possible but can often be corrected at a review appointment. There is also a rare possibility of the treatment being dispersed into an adjacent muscle. This could cause a unwanted weakness such as drooping of the upper eyelid which is temporary but may last a few weeks.
Significant results combined with very few risks and minimal recovery time have made it the world’s most popular non-surgical treatment.
After cleaning the skin, injections are placed directly into the treatment areas. The needle used is extremely fine and most clients experience only minimal discomfort. The treatment itself takes about 15 minutes.
Following the treatment there may be slight redness. Bruising is not common but possible. Most clients continue their normal day without anybody noticing.
It is important not to massage, press or rub the areas after treatment. We advise you not to do vigorous exercise. We also recommend that you avoid excessive heat (sauna, steam room, very hot bath etc) for 48 hours.
You should remain upright for 4 hours after your procedure and avoid facial massages and any other undue or sustained pressure to the face for 7-10 days after treatment.
You will start to see the effects develop gradually over the following 5-12 days. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any concerns following your treatment.
