Exosomes are tiny, naturally occurring extracellular vesicles (small particles) that act as messengers between cells. They contain proteins, lipids, messenger RNA (mRNA) and other bioactive molecules that facilitate communication between cells, helping to support the body's natural tissue repair and regenerative processes.

The Purasomes® range is an advanced regenerative treatment that harnesses patented AMPLEX Plus® Technology. Produced from ethically sourced bovine colostrum, it is rich in exosomes, growth factors and other regenerative smkkkignalling molecules that work together to support skin and scalp rejuvenation.

Purasomes® are used to support the treatment of a range of skin and scalp concerns, including skin ageing, uneven skin texture, acne scarring, pigmentation, hair thinning and hair shedding.

When used following medical microneedling, these bioactive ingredients help support the skin's natural repair processes and may contribute to:

• Skin rejuvenation: 3 treatments, spaced 3–4 weeks apart
• Hair restoration: 4–6 treatments, spaced 2–3 weeks apart

Exosomes are typically delivered into the skin or scalp using medical microneedling. This creates tiny microchannels, allowing the regenerative ingredients to penetrate deeply and effectively. 

Treatment is minimally invasive with little downtime. Mild redness or sensitivity may occur for 24–48 hours afterwards.

At Revitalise Medical we use Purasomes® by Dermafocus. These products are manufactured using advanced purification methods and have been developed with a strong emphasis on quality, traceability and safety. They are derived from ethically sourced bovine colostrum and purified.

As with all microneedling procedures, temporary redness, swelling or sensitivity may occur following treatment.

In the UK, injectable exosome treatments and treatments using human-derived exosomes are not currently approved. At Revitalise Medical we do not inject exosomes. Purasomes® are applied topically following medical microneedling to enhance delivery through the temporary microchannels created during treatment.

Following treatment we recommend:

• Avoid exercise, saunas, swimming and heat treatments for 24 hours
• Avoid active skincare products for 3–5 days
• Wear daily SPF
• Keep the skin hydrated and follow your practitioner’s aftercare advice

For scalp treatments, avoid washing the hair until advised by your practitioner.
