Exosomes

A vial of Nutri Complex displayed with modern graphic design.

What are Exosomes?

Exosomes are tiny, naturally occurring extracellular vesicles that play a crucial role in cell communication. These small particles contain proteins, lipids, messenger RNA (mRNA), and other bioactive molecules that help facilitate communication between cells, supporting the body’s natural tissue repair and regenerative processes through exosome therapy.

The Purasomes® range offers advanced regenerative treatments that utilize patented AMPLEX Plus® Technology. Derived from ethically sourced bovine colostrum, this range is rich in exosomes, growth factors, and other regenerative signaling molecules that work synergistically to promote skin rejuvenation and scalp health.

Purasomes® are effective in addressing various skin and scalp concerns, including skin aging, uneven texture, acne scarring, pigmentation, hair thinning, and hair shedding, making them a valuable option for hair restoration as well.

What does it treat?

Skin Concerns

Fine lines and wrinkles can significantly affect your appearance, but with advancements in skin rejuvenation, including exosome therapy, effective solutions are available. Many individuals experience dull or dehydrated skin, loss of firmness and elasticity, and uneven skin tone and pigmentation, all of which can be addressed through regenerative treatments. Additionally, acne scarring and post-inflammatory marks can be improved with innovative therapies like Purasomes.

Hair & Scalp Concerns

Concerns such as hair thinning, shedding, and weak or damaged hair are prevalent, but hair restoration options are evolving. Achieving healthier hair can also depend on maintaining a well-nourished scalp; addressing a dry or irritated scalp is essential for overall hair health.

Do I require a course of treatments?

For optimal results, we usually recommend:

Skin rejuvenation through exosome therapy: 3 treatments, spaced 3–4 weeks apart.

Hair restoration using Purasomes: 4–6 treatments, spaced 2–3 weeks apart.

Your treatment plan will be tailored during your consultation to incorporate the best regenerative treatments for your needs.

How do they work?

When used following medical microneedling, these bioactive ingredients, including exosome therapy and Purasomes, help support the skin's natural repair processes and may contribute to: Increased collagen and elastin production, improved skin hydration and radiance, enhanced skin tone and texture, improved skin firmness and elasticity, and support for healthy scalp function and hair growth through innovative regenerative treatments in hair restoration.

How are exosomes administered?

Exosomes are typically delivered into the skin or scalp through exosome therapy using medical microneedling. This process creates tiny microchannels, allowing the regenerative ingredients in Purasomes to penetrate deeply and effectively for hair restoration and skin rejuvenation.

The treatment is minimally invasive with little downtime, and mild redness or sensitivity may occur for 24–48 hours afterwards as part of the healing process associated with regenerative treatments.

Is it safe?

At Revitalise Medical, we utilize Purasomes® by Dermafocus as part of our regenerative treatments. These products are crafted through advanced purification techniques with a strong focus on quality, traceability, and safety, derived from ethically sourced bovine colostrum and purified.

As with all microneedling procedures, you may experience temporary redness, swelling, or sensitivity after treatment. While injectable exosome therapy and human-derived exosome treatments are not currently approved in the UK, we at Revitalise Medical do not inject exosomes. Instead, we apply Purasomes® topically following medical microneedling to significantly enhance skin rejuvenation by taking advantage of the temporary microchannels created during the treatment, promoting effective hair restoration and overall skin health.

Post-procedure advice

Following your exosome therapy treatment for skin rejuvenation, we recommend:

- Avoid exercise, saunas, swimming, and heat treatments for 24 hours.

- Refrain from using active skincare products for 3–5 days.

- Wear daily SPF to protect your skin.

- Keep the skin hydrated and follow your practitioner’s aftercare advice, especially if you are undergoing regenerative treatments like Purasomes.

For hair restoration treatments, it is advisable to refrain from washing your hair until directed by your practitioner.
